Please subscribe, share, comment – In this video, you’ll learn how to create your own website using the powerful WordPress platform. This tutorial will show you the step by step process you can use to build a web page from scratch – Even if you are a beginner and can hardly work a computer, you can use this guide to get started!

This is the best and only article you will need to read on how to make your own WordPress website. Better yet, I will show how to do it from scratch in just 9-12 minutes. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, you will be comfortable learning how to make your own wordpress website from someone who has built hundreds of successful websites. You are just a few clicks away so lets get started.
There are three things you need:

A. Domain name: what people type to get to your site, that is, the business name, your name, so on, followed by a .com or .net or .org. If the domanin name you want is taken, get creative and I always recommend, go for the .com.

B. Webhosting service: the server where you store your webpage files. Definitely go with a paid professional hosting provider, especially if you are making money. The company I recommend is which offers the domain name and hosting all in one.

C. WordPress installation: the microsoft word of building your own site, inserting text, images and videos.

Be sure to watch my video on how to make your own WordPress website for a step by step instructional and don’t worry, its not technical.

The hosting plan I recommend is the baby plan which can host unlimited domain names on it. Cloud hosting is also something to consider for more reliable and faster service.

Start out by typing out your domain name, remember, get creative. You can start with as little as 1 month and go up to 24 months at a time. Then type your security pin and billing info. Coupon code: Hookup, gives you your first month for just 1 penny. You can get your entire first site for .95!

The next step is to set up and install wordpress. The domain tab allows you to manage domains, so click the domain you want to work on, click main servers, double check you have the right info, then go into the hosting tab. Find under the Software and services button the quick install.

Check out the popular installs for wordpress and stick with the free one. Be sure to copy and paste your information into a text file for future reference.

Now you can log in and configure your website but may need to wait 1-12 hours to get started.

Once you’re in, from the dashboard add the all in one SEO pack. WordPress is now installed and configured.

You are now ready to create your first piece of content. From the dashboard you can change your theme. There are thousands to pick from, I personally like the simple ones that allow you to jump right into the contend.

Now you can customize your first post. From the posts tab, click add new and come up with a good title, with the option to add media. Hit the publish tab and congratulations, you now know how to make your own wordpress website!

  1. So I’m thinking of making a site that is related to nerd or geek stuff. Would that be a good niche to do or do I need to be more specific?

  2. That was the best tutorial. No themes to be installed, No issues with page editor or plugins, no customization everything default and it WORKS. You are a super star my friend

  3. Hey Dan, i was wondering what wordpress gets out of providing the free service. Do they run their own adds on the site or take a fraction?

  4. Y’all still fail to realize this man is scamming you.He promoted all those websites only for his own interests.

  5. Hey dude. I would love it if you did a piece of content on your top 5-10 plugins you use on your affiliate websites! I get that the all in one SEO pack is a must. But what about the rest that you recommend for all your blogging, analytics, and other visual aspects that are otherwise extremely important? I have installed some for my own website, but was lead down different plugin paths from multiple people and now I think my wordpress is way to packed up with plugins (not an affiliate marketing website) and I am struggling what I think needs to be discarded without destroying my current layout. Surely there must be a simplified solution to the most important and useful plugins for affiliate marketing websites!

  6. This was insanely helpful, thank you so much, so detailed & understanding, I love it! I’m building & launching my first website for a new workout program in a couple months so this is what I’ll be going by 🙂

  7. I registered a domain name somewhere else. How can i still use it with Hostgator. Or do i simply take another domain name and wasted 5 bucks?

  8. hey Dan enjoy your videos lots, I had a question when I’m building a website here up in canada doesn’t it matter if I use American affiliate links or canadian to target both the USA and Canada

  10. That’s so cute Your too long intro video and rough editing! I’m just teasing, because you’ve grown so much in only one year!! Now you have your professional light system and the better intro! Great job. I’m learning everything I know about affiliate marketing from you, and I’m pretty happy about it. Although I wasnt really happy about the Domainer purchase. I feel like it wasn’t a great product, and I felt like I was “low hanging fruit” at that point. You wouldnt do that to us, would you Brock? Do you even read your comments anymore or are you toooo rich now???

And I haven’t made my first dollar yet.

anyway, I’m a big fan. I hope to make my dollar soooon!!!

    Love, Lilly-Lee
