  3. Thank you for being so prompt. I had tried to create a new email account and password for hostgator, and that’s when I lost it all. I finally had to call them and they are trying to verify it all and will send me an email maybe in 24 hrs. So I am stuck now and have to wait and was hoping to get this finished today, Ha.

    I have checked to make sure it is correct

  5. Greg following u for sometime. registered my domain from Go daddy as adviced, and after activating hostgator i tried to install word press. when the page show installed. I erroneously clicked on another link thus by missing the password that was so generated, when i tried to reinstall the word press it showed error “Installation directory is not empty. Please install to an empty location” i deleted the word press to clear the directory. NOW i am badly stuck. Pls help the wp install is showing the above quoted msg again and again.

Greg I had a drupal website before than I switch to wordpress to create more professional website by using sydney theme but whenever I click on any of my menus it takes me to the drupal site and when I click on my blog … please help me I have been trying to contact u so many times but i didn’t reply .. please help me greg to fix this , you can save my job. my website is http://www.rmtis.com/wordpress/

  10. I see it’s not as easy as it looks. When I try to upload images I either get a http error or the exceeded 30sec message. I have resizes files to less the 1mb and still get errors. I have only managed to upload 1 image. Please Help!!! Are there any alternatives?

    Can you please share how do we get the payment in our bank account if someone buys from our online shop, I know if we provide our PayPal account receiving email address that would work for PayPal but what if someone pays us using their debit/credit card or use a bank transfer where and how do we get the funds in our account and also when we do affiliate marketing or create our Google Ad-sense account how and where do we submit our bank details to receive funds ?
    Secondly besides Google Ad-sense is there any other legit service that we can use for getting Advertisements ?
    Also how and where do we create a new email address using our new website domain name ?
    And how and where do we get the the name and email addresses if someone subscribes to our website ?

  21. Hey! I created a google ad and when I copy and paste the code onto my page, only the code shows up, not the ad. Does it just take some time to convert or am I doing something wrong?

  24. Hi Greg, when I upload my gallery images they are all on the left (they are portrait photos) which means there is a lot of white space next to them is it possible to center the photos in a gallery display?

One more question – My Home page is empty, have I missed ticking a box or something? The pages I’ve made look great. I’m up to column 2 of the checklist. Will the Home page pull together at the end or do I have to go back and do something? Thanks for your patience.

  28. Hey Greg, thanks for everything. I have ‘Premium’ plan in WordPress. A lot of your screens have a lot more options than mine, and a completely different view of the Dashboard. Is that because your have bought ‘Business’ plan?

Hey Greg, I have setup my blog but my main picture appears to have a slide but I don’t want that because the second picture is blank and when you hit the home button it goes to that blank page. and I added a post using a url but there is no photo on the blog post.   32. Hi Greg, thank you for your amazing tutorial! I’ve just created my first blog with it and am sharing your YouTube link with friends. I have a problem – Facebook won’t show a thumbnail when I post a link to my blog. I’ve entered the URL into the FB debugger and get these error messages:
    “Missing Required Property. The ‘og:type’ property is required, but not present,” and “The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags”.
    I don’t know what this means. Can you tell me how to fix it please, or perhaps give me a link to a how-to page? Thanks again!
