Feedburner for WordPress can be a little tricky if you are not familiar with it. Integrating it with WordPress is not that hard and in this video tutorial I show you how to do it all. Some things that you want to make sure of is that you are signed into your Google account while doing the tutorial. The things we address are:

1. Where your original feed is located within your WordPress blog. For example the feed located here at A1WebsitePro.com is located but you will notice that when you enter that url it will redirect you to a feed-burner url that looks like this. After watching this tutorial you will know why that happens.

2. Another subject that this feedburner for WordPress tutorial addresses is the plug in that you should use to configure your feedburner. We use the FeedBurner FeedSmith Extend plug in and we show you how to configure it for your feed.

3. In the feedburner for WordPress tutorial we also cover what is highlighted in Yellow in the graphics below. so you can get familiar with what these settings do.

Need help? You can have me do it for you if you do not have the time to complete the steps in this tutorial.

  2. Thanks for the video! FeedBurner FeedSmith Extend isn’t available. Do you have another suggestion?

  3. I’m going through your site, and I don’t see any suggestions to replace FeedBurner FeedSmith Extend.

  4. I did find the download for the FeedBurner FeedSmith Extended, I downloaded then uploaded to my blog, followed your directions, But it does not work when I went to the blog and put the word feed at the end it took me to a search not the feed

  7. Hi Max. I’m with you up until uploading Feedburner Feedsmith Extended. When I search for the plugin, it is not found. Has it been replaced with something else?

  8. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge! After three days of hunting and NOTHING, I watch your video and I now have Feedburner installed easily:)

  9. Thanks for all the information. I see that Feedburner Feedsmith Extended is no longer being updated, looks like for 2 years now. Is there an alternative that you suggest?  I did install FD Feedburner Plugin…but what do I know!?  🙂 Seems to work.  Thanks again for the tutorial!

  10. Thank you.  Your introduction was simple and to the point, yet easy to understand.  You’d be amazed at how many so called wordpress videos didn’t mention that we already have a feed and can just EASILY type /feed/ after our site address to see it and then copy it over to the feedburner page.  Easy easy easy!  Thank you!

  11. I’m trying to start my blog, but the only thing I can’t get to work is my rss to validate. I’m using wp & a theme I bought… Any suggestions on how to get it to validate?

  12. What do you think of using mail chimp to collect emails and house your list? Isn’t it more flexible for creating nicer looking emails from your fresh posts? And easier to control??

  13. Yes you pay after 2,000 and for someone like me who has way more than that it’s about a 150 charge. I’m just starting to add google ads and affiliate links now plus switch over to self hosting but haven’t up to this point. What’s missing out there is a great video advising which subscription service to use thats easy to extract the emails should you want to move it or store the emails and also notify your subscribers of your new posts In a Good looking way. +Jacqueline Jax +AVA LIVE RADIO

  14. Max, I want to add a subscription eBook incentive to my WordPress blog and currently use Feedburner. I’m having the hardest time figuring out how to do this! Is a new subscriber incentive possible using Feedburner, or do I need to switch to MailChimp or Aweber?

  15. THANK YOU!  This is the best video by FAR I’ve seen on RSS and feedburner!  Set mine up in under 10 minutes.  Great video!

  16. Thank you for this informative video, Max. I wonder how I can blast special announcement / advertising (not a post)…?

  17. Hi, thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! I really appreciate you taking the time to explain how to set this up! I was wondering why my subscriber list/number doesn’t appear to be updating on FeedBurner? Many thanks again!!

  18. Hi Maximus, your vid is very helpful, seeing as I knew nothing of RSS feeds!
    Thank you. Penny

  19. Hey Maximus, BTW I couldn’t get Feedflare to work. You had to insert a new Feedflare and I didn’t know how to do it. Penny
